I want to sign up. What do I need to do?

I currently accept credit cards. Can I sign-up for Faster Processing?
At present, you can only use the service if you have a merchant account from Universal Transaction Processing. If you do, your account can be configured for Faster Processing within a few days.
Can I use the service if I don’t currently accept card payments?
If you don’t have an existing merchant account we will use our partner, Universal Transaction Processing, to create an account for you with Barclaycard. Your new merchant account will then be enabled for Faster Processing.
What services do you offer?
We have three services:
- Option 1 – Hourly Batch Funding – You will receive one payment each hour relating to all transactions processed on your Chip and PIN machine(s) during the previous hour.
- Option 2 – End-of-Day Batch Funding – You will receive one payment at the end of your trading day relating to the total of all transactions processed during your trading day.
- Option 3 – Intra-Day Funding – Each transaction you accept on the Chip and PIN machine will be processed and separately funded, normally within one to two hours.
When will I receive funds for the transactions I have processed?
If you have selected Intra-Day Funding or Hourly Batch funding, you will receive your funds within one to two hours of the transaction being processed. If you have selected End-of-Day Batch Funding, you will receive your funds within one to two hours after the end of your banking window. Please note the service operates during working hours on working days which are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. Any transactions processed outside of these hours will be funded within one hour of the start of the next working day.
Why doesn’t the service allow me to receive funding during evenings and during weekends?
At present the service can only transfer funds during the hours that the banks in the UK are open however you will continue to receive statements and text messages during these times.
Does the service operate on Bank Holidays and other national holidays?
You will continue to receive statements and text messages on these days however you will not receive funding until the next working day. The service can only transfer funds during the hours that the banks in the UK are open.

How do I pay for the service?
Your existing transaction charges will be increased to take account of the charges for Faster Processing. The combined charge will be collected by Barclaycard at end of each month.
Does the service work with online payments?
No, at present the service only works with payments accepted using a Chip and PIN machine.
Which countries does the service operate in?
England and Wales. We are planning to deploy the service in Scotland and Northern Ireland in July 2018.

What hours are you open?
Our Customer Service Team is open between 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday; 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday (excluding national holidays).
I am missing a statement or my funds have not arrived?

How do I know when I have been paid?
You will receive an emailed processing statement each day shortly after the close of your banking window which will list all payments made to your bank account. In addition, if selected, you will receive a text message whenever a payment is made.
